The Biogeoscience Institute is holding its annual open house at their Barrier Lake Field Station on July 10th, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day’s events include nature walks, research talks, hands-on exploration and a science lab for kids. It’s fun, free, and a great way to learn about the ecosystem of the Canadian Rockies.
The field station is located on Highway 40, a one-hour drive from Calgary. The open house will be a perfect day trip for kids, parents, and anyone who is curious about the natural world and physical science. Snacks and drinks will be provided, but packing a picnic lunch is recommended if you plan to stay all day.
